Nomadica is the latest musical project of producer, engineer and musician Victor Phillips. Victor’s 10 years living abroad and extensive world travel during the pivotal late childhood and teen years have greatly influenced his love of diversity, melody and syncopated rhythms in music.

For Nomadica’s music, Phillips draws on diverse influences from rock, world music, pop, and jazz to downtempo, electronica and dance music. He tries to incorporate the feeling of travel and the experience of place into his music. Victor loves to combine organic instrument sounds with synths and electronic elements and then layer in found sounds and field recordings to create interesting fusions of genre and musical styles. "Using sounds and musical instruments helps me create emotional states, musical journeys and interesting sonic landscapes, almost as if one had traveled to a fantasy universe, says Victor.
